About

Aligning with the Community Foundation's strategic objective of fostering a dynamic local economy, the Business Equity Initiative Grant assists small business owners, particularly women of color, with access to capital and funding support not available through traditional loans.

How do I Qualify?

To be considered eligible for a grant, your company must be:

  • Small business owners, particularly women of color
  • Residents of Muskegon County
  • 1 - 3 years in business, legally established and registered with the State of Michigan (providing proof of status, certificate of business in good standing)
  • Willing to utilize the business resources available in Muskegon County for education and mentoring
